Yaz and I finally watched the movie “Once” last night. I had heard great things about this movie, particularly from my friends Erica and Ray, so there were semi-high expectations on our end.

The movie started sort of slowly and Yaz and I were worried that the movie was going to be one long music video. I would’ve preferred more dialogue, since I did enjoy the main characters’ interaction and chemistry. The movie finally hit its stride with the scenes in the recording studio. I particularly liked the scene where the recording engineer was totally disinterested at first, then perked up once the first song began to come together.

Overall, it was a very quaint and lovely movie. Pretty nice ending, actually.
