My 6 year-old son, Travis, made this as a gift to me and my wife today (which he presented to us, rolled up like a scroll). I couldn’t help but notice the typographic aesthetic with which he set the letters…the backwards “D’s” and the red “O” in “MOM.” I was especially impressed with his Herb Lubalin-esque use of the letter “O,” making them faces of his dear old mom and dad (notice that he repeated the red “O” for the mom face!).
The kid’s got a future!
