Proving that every iconic image of Barack Obama needn’t be by Shepard Fairey, TIME magazine commissioned C.F. Payne to do this wonderful cover illustration for their new “Inauguration Preview” issue.
I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that it was Payne who did this portrait, because I’m used to his more exaggerated caricature style from the 1990’s. Beautiful stuff!
