I just wanted to share one of my all-time favorite YouTube clips of a Neil Peart drum solo from a Buddy Rich Memorial Concert (not sure what year it’s from). Rush fans (like me) rarely see Neil playing a 4-piece set, and this pared-down setting really makes you appreciate his drumming prowess even more. He actually manages to sprinkle some of his most famous drum bits (e.g. Tom Sawyer, YYZ) into the solo, too. They don’t call him “The Professor” for nothing!
