On a historic event such as today, we take for granted all of the people who document such events. A dear friend of mine, Charlie Dharapak, is a White House photographer for the Associated Press and was right there in the thick of it all.

This past weekend, a great Q&A piece with Charlie ran in The Daily News where he talked about his job, the creative process and nuances such as how photographing Bush differs from Obama. To me, the coolest part of his job that makes me green with envy is that he gets to ride on Air Force One. And now he gets to ride it with President Obama! Pretty badass.
